I’ve been writing this blog for over five years, with over 200 published. I’m beginning to notice a large drop-off in readership (number of people who actually open the blog when it is emailed to them). There is a cost involved with being on the WordPress platform; therefore, if for whatever reason (I promise you I am not taking it personally), people are no longer interested in what I have to say, I will cancel my subscription and limit my writing to journaling and grocery lists.

Please be candid, I’m not looking for flattery. The work I’ve done to improve my self-esteem is paying off.

  1. I love your blog. I love your writing, your travel adventures and your take on being an ex-pat. I try to read all of them, sometimes life gets in the way and I forget to read it. We’re contemporaries so your honesty with age and all it implies has helped me understand myself better. It’s your budget so of course you will do what’s best for you. How about a podcast?

  2. Thank you Jo, you said ALL I needed to hear. I could never do a podcast because I’d be spending way too much time editing. I can edit my writing pretty easily and I truly enjoy writing. You’re the best and I mean that sincerely.

And please don’t worry about reading every blog 🙂

  3. I might read over 50% of the posts.

I am interested, but sometimes I get lazy, or it’s not the right moment, and then I forget…

    Thank you for your writting!

  4. I enjoy reading about what you have going on as it is a way to stay connected. I’m not great at staying in touch with a lot of important people in my life with all I have going on to keep myself sane as you know. Staying over-busy is my way to stay positive and focused. That leaves little time for friends and sometimes family so I like being able to hear your thoughts weekly to keep our connection alive. As for content, I like the travel, daily experiences, Paco, NYC back in the day stories, and your ex-pat advice especially. If you keep writing I’ll keep reading.

  5. I LOVE READING YOUR BLOG, each and every time unless for some reason my life at that moment is experiencing more than usual time drains/upheaval!
Of course you could continue perhaps by emailing a number of us directly?
Whatever you decide, I love you!

  6. I love your insights! I’ve traveled along with you a long time now going back to Toren days. I aspire to be like you one day living abroad and sharing insights into life and travel and everything else 🙂
